New album named

Good news everyone: the new album has been named, and construction on the new website is well underway. I will be debuting the new album and new website within the next month and a half.
On the new site, you will have the capability to purchase any of my music directly, without having to go through iTunes, AmazonMP3, or the like, although it will definitely still be distributed and offered at all those stores. So hopefully, that will make it easier for you guys. In addition, I will be offering high quality, studio masters of each song that is made, so that you can listen to the songs in their full glory; you’ll only be able to get this CD quality (as if you had the actual CD). MP3s always degrade the sound quality, no matter what. Anyway, it’s another option for you guys to experience my music in its full glory.
Stay tuned, and be prepared to be blown away by the new music!

Good to offset bad

So, after the past month which was a heck of a ride, I guess I’m ready to resume moving forward. Life is very spicy, I tell you. Never a dull moment.
Everybody needs to focus on one thing. There is so much negativity that happens in our lives, it’s hard to strike a balance. I always tell myself that it’s hard to be good and easy to be bad, but the rewards of being good, although few and far between, is much greater. In other words, being good, the payoff is greater.
So how do we do this? We have to set good and great goals and work toward them, not against them. For every bad/painful event, we should have a good/happy event that occurs to offset it. Whatever it may be. Do many good little things a lot, and it will add up.
How does this tie in to music? Greatly. Experiences in life brings out the best in us artists. We channel it and turn our pain into something that people can enjoy. That people can relate to. This is the beauty of music. Of instrumental music.
So I’m moving forward. All the things that’s happened to cause me so much hurt and so much pain, I simply channel it into music for you guys to listen to. And you can relate.
I finally chose a beautiful place to begin photoshoots for the next album. Much more to come soon. New site, new pictures, new music, and, the biggest project of them all, new videos. I don’t like releasing things unless they are perfect. It’s what you guys expect, and it’s what I expect of myself.
The wait will be worth it, as I always say. Stay tuned.
Fixing up some things

For some reason, the media player and photo viewer on my Myspace page stopped working, and I couldn’t edit it. I fixed it and uploaded an updated media player to the Myspace page, which is overall better, as it shows the entire playlist and makes it easier for the listener.
You can now listen to all the songs at http://www.myspace.com/nuwrayn.
Grandma passed away

My dear Grandma died on Saturday.
These have been some of the hardest days of my life, the past few days. In between sorting out schedules and preparations for burial, real time to mourn has not set in yet. That’s for other relatives to do now, and it will slam me like a ton of bricks a bit later. As usual.
Each time I finish an album, something major happens which forces me into the next chapter, unexpectedly.
Memories of my Grandma are clear and vivid, and I see the life lessons she taught all of us each and every day. I will miss her greatly. Words cannot express such emotions; therefore, you WILL hear some of my best music yet to come.
I miss you already Grandma. I love you Grandma. Always and forever.
Working hard…

Stream the entire album “A Million Tears” for free! (again)

Since Last.FM changed their entire foundation of streaming, you can no longer listen to full streams. I’ve now uploaded full streams on Reverbnation. The only downside to this is that the quality is not that great; Reverbnation streams don’t allow for HQ MP3 clips, so this will have to suffice for now.
New album, new website

So the new album is basically finished. I’m so excited…and so burned out.
The problem is that this WordPress site is getting a bit long in the tooth, and I’m coming to find out its true limits. It seems as if it’s really holding me back in getting the publicity I want; it’s not everyday you find a musician that has a WordPress blog as an official site.
I will be moving to a new provider with a completely new design within the next few months that will act as a hub of my career; it will allow me to perfectly complement all the major sites at once: Twitter, Myspace, and Facebook, and Youtube. Also, it will be media-centric, as a musician’s site is supposed to be, replete with media, music, pictures, videos, and Flash. I will not release my new album until this infrastructure has been completed. Of course, I’m the one who’s going to be designing it.
Yay, more work for me!
Please stay tuned. There is so much more to come. I promise that the new album will be worth the wait.
Update on Last.FM

Oh that’s too bad. It seems that Last.FM changed the entire way their system works, and now you cannot listen to music tracks in their entirety. That sucks. Looks like I’ll have to find another way to make the music available to those that want to hear it before they buy it.
